Fork Real Community Café’s mission is to build community by providing nutritious and delicious meals to the people of Rapid City, regardless of their ability to pay. Fork Real is part a network of more than 60 community cafes with OWEE; One World Everyone Eats When our café doors open in Phase III, we will be a place where anyone can come to enjoy a home cooked meal in a dignified setting. Our desire is to bring real conversation back to the table. Until then, we move forward in Phase II with our catering, cheesecake sales, meal prep, and cooking classes, in addition to fundraising and grant writing.
Rhonda and David Pearcy, the drivers behind Fork Real Café, wanted to be in community with other organizations that were taking steps to fulfill their passion in the heart beat of Rapid City. They have found that community East of 5th.
Why East of 5th?:
“Fork Real loves being East of 5th where we are in the center of the flow from the courthouse, the students and staff from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and local residents of the community.”
- Rhonda Pearcy, Founder, Fork Real Community Café
