The Cultural Expo is hosted by groups from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and the community. Thursday's event will be held in the Goodell Gymnasium in the King Center on the SD Mines campus. Saturday's event will beheld in the Surbeck Center Ballroom on SD Mines campus.
Cultural groups from the community are encouraged to participate in this annual festival, which is sponsored by international students, faculty and staff, AISES, the Student Association, and the Ivanhoe International Center at the School of Mines, along with International Students Inc., and Black Hills Power.
Thursday is geared towards area schools, with educational exercises for students. Hours are 9:00 am to 2:30 pm on the Thursday. If your school is planning on attending this event on Thursday, please RSVP using the following link:
The general public is invited to attend the Expo on Saturday, April 2 between the hours of 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. Cultural displays from around the world and in the US will be exhibited both days. There is no charge to visit the exhibits. There is an $8 charge for sampling of ethnic foods, which will be available from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday only. Cultural entertainment will begin at 11:30 am on Saturday.
